AVG ready to secure new channel partners

Security solutions vendor AVG heads to DISTREE EMEA later this month with a target list of countries where it wants to add channel reach. DISTREE EMEA allows brands to pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with channel partners from across the region. Kamila Ruščák, senior consumer accounts specialist at AVG, said: “AVG’s key goal is finding the partners that will help us expand throughout EMEA in 2016. In particular, we are interested in distributors, retailers and resellers that will help us expand in the French, Italian, Spanish, UAE, Russian, Saudi Arabian and Turkish markets.” Read full story

Big four launch new distributor association in EMEA

Four European distribution giants have established a new association to promote the benefits of working with technology channels in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The new association, which is called The Technology Channels Alliance (TTCA), has been founded by Also, Esprinet, Exertis and Westcoast. Membership in the new association is open to technology distributors, large resellers and retailers whose head office is registered in a European country. Read full story

DISTREE Events has announced an increased number of application-based awards for the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2016 Awards’, which take place in conjunction with DISTREE Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). DISTREE EMEA is the region’s premier independent annual event for the consumer technology channel. New online marketplace category added alongside retailer awards for ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2016 Awards’

The 14th annual DISTREE Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) channel event, which takes place in Monaco from February 24-27th 2016, will host the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2016 Awards’. Taking place for the eighth consecutive year in 2016, the awards recognise excellence in the regional consumer technology channel. Voting is now open for vendors and distributors to select the ‘Retailer of the Year’ across nine separate regions.
