DAY 1: Cisco global partner summit

Thousands of channel executives from around the world have descended on New Orleans for vendor giant Cisco’s annual global partner summit. Today’s keynote sessions kicked off with senior Cisco executives queuing up to take the stage to reiterate the vendor’s complete and ongoing commitment to the channel. The ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2011 Awards’ took place in Monaco last week in association with DISTREE XXL – the region’s premier channel event. Vendor executives with EMEA channel responsibility voted live for nine regional distributor categories. Ingram Micro picked up three awards for with ABC Data, Actebis, Arena, Asbis, Elko and Mustek winning one apiece. Read full story

‘ECA: 2011 Awards’ – VENDOR WINNERS

Hundreds of distributors from across EMEA packed into Monaco’s glittering Salle des Etoiles venue last week for the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2011 Awards’. Using a transparent live electronic voting process, distributors voted for their preferred vendors across 10 product categories. Microsoft picked up a total of three awards with Lenovo, HP, AMD, Apple, WD, D-Link and HTC all winning one apiece. Read full story

‘ECA: 2011 Awards’ – DISTRIBUTORS

The nominated distributors for the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2011 Awards’ have been announced today. In total there are nine regional accolades up for grabs at this year’s awards ceremony, which takes place in association with DISTREE XXL, EMEA’s premier channel event. During the last few months, senior vendor executives have voted for their preferred distributor by region. The top five nominated distributors go through to the final where they face a live electronic vote to determine the winner in each category. Read full story

‘ECA: 2011 Awards’ – VENDORS

The ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2011 Awards’ take place on February 10th in conjunction with DISTREE XXL. Hundreds of distributors from across EMEA have nominated their preferred vendors in ten different product categories. The top five vendors per category go through to a live final vote, which takes place at the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco.
