NCR secures Cisco gold in the Gulf

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 4 September 2008

NCR has achieved Cisco gold certification from networking giant Cisco in the Gulf region. The gold status means that NCR has met Cisco’s rigorous standards for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction.

Ahmad Qawasmeh, managing director at NCR Gulf, said: “Being the first Cisco gold partner in the Middle East, we are delighted to carry on our partnership with Cisco. For more than a decade NCR has taken a leading role as a Global Service Partner & Integrator in helping our customers enjoy the latest state of the art IP solutions from Cisco.”

Edison Peres, VP and chief go-to-market officer for worldwide channels at Cisco, commented: “We are committed to providing the tools, training and programs that help drive partner growth, differentiation and profitability.”

“With specialisations in unified communications, routing and switching, security, and wireless LAN, NCR has made an investment in developing the capability to deliver the integrated and customised technology solutions today’s customers demand,” he added.

Cisco claims that its channel programme provides partners with the training required to build sales, technical and Cisco lifecycle services skills, and then validates their skills through a third-party audit.

Cisco resale partner certifications - gold, silver, premier and select - represent an increasing breadth of skills across key technologies and a partner’s ability to deliver integrated networking solutions, according to the vendor. Cisco resale partner specialisations - master, advanced and express - reflect an increasing depth of sales, technical and service expertise in particular technologies.

As a Cisco gold certified partner, NCR has met the requirements for attaining the broadest range of expertise across multiple technologies. Cisco gold certification provides NCR access to comprehensive sales, technical, and lifecycle services training and support available from Cisco.
