Lalani launches E-tech City retail venture

Indian channel player Lalani Group has outlined its ambitions in the country’s fast-growing retail market for IT, mobile and office products. Lalani Group plans to develop a chain of large format stores under the E-tech City brand. The company has opened its first 13,000 square foot E-tech City store in Kolkata and plans to have 25 stores across India by 2015.

The E-tech City large format stores will offer demonstration zones, experience zones and sub-divided into specific product or brand zones as required. Customers will be encouraged to engage with the products f through live demonstrations and the opportunity to touch and feel devices.

Lalani’s new store in Kolkata is open 365 days a year and offers valet car parking, in-store food and drink outlets, service desks and free software training on Windows 8 and Office for customers purchasing PCs.

The E-tech City will also feature clear fixed prices displayed on all products. Various destination zones inside the new Kolkata store include Laptop Square featuring 130 different notebook models, Mobile Circle, Gaming Park, Printer Street and Hawker Spot where customer can find discounted stock and sales items.
