AmberPoint adds Eurosel

by Stuart Wilson, Monday 23 June 2008

SOA software specialist AmberPoint has signed a distribution agreement with Italian software specialist Eurosel. The move is the latest in a series of distribution deals for AmberPoint, which has seen the company expand its channel to market across Europe. AmberPoint claims that its SOA management system is the most widely distributed and resold runtime governance software in the world.

Eurosel will distribute AmberPoint’s SOA runtime governance software to enterprise clients throughout Italy. Eurosel already has a strong customer base, 70% of which is in the financial services sector. The company has strong track record in software sales and support for the European market, and claims to possess a deep understanding of SOA customer requirements gained through its success at distributing SOA solutions for mainframe-based systems.

"AmberPoint is the market leader for SOA and offers the most comprehensive solution on the market today," said Walter Marmo, president of Eurosel. "It fits perfectly with our core skills around management, security and monitoring. In particular, we are well positioned to bring these capabilities to Italy’s financial services sector, which stands to gain significant benefits from SOA due to the prevalence of mainframes in that sector. We look forward to successfully distributing, supporting and representing AmberPoint throughout the Italian market place."

Willie Kirkpatrick, VP EMEA for AmberPoint, added: "Eurosel has a deep understanding of SOA technology and a strong installed base of enterprise customers, many of whom are looking at ways of better using their mainframe systems. This partnership will play a pivotal role in our ongoing European growth and expansion. We look forward to working with the Eurosel team.”

Eurosel’s team of consultants will be trained in the AmberPoint SOA runtime governance software over the coming weeks. Eurosel is an EMEA technology partner network comprised of Eurosel (Italy and Germany) and several EMEA companies in countries such as UK, France and Benelux over Europe. Eurosel’s headquarters are in Turin Italy, with branches in Rome and soon in Aachen, Germany.
