Icon7 targets Eastern Europe with HRP Group

by Stuart Wilson, Monday 16 June 2008

Peripherals and device vendor Icon7 has expanded its presence in the Eastern European market, inking a distribution agreement with Hungary’s HRP Group. Under the terms of the deal, HRP will introduce Icon7 products into the Hungarian market and develop channels to market for the kit.

“In view of the booming economy in Eastern Europe, we are thrilled to be collaborating with a top local market leader such as HRP, to launch Icon7’s unique solutions in Hungary,” said Laszlo Dosa, country sales manager at Icon7.

“We designed our products for the savvy and busy consumers in mind, especially those seeking smart, stylish and easy-to-use solutions that will bridge them with digital devices seven days a week,” added Dosa.

A spokesperson for HRP added: “HRP is constantly on the look out to offer new and exciting personal computer devices to our customers in Hungary, so we are delighted to have found Icon7. Their stylish and high-performance peripherals really stood out, and immediately caught our attention with their look, feel and function.”

Icon7 offers a range of peripherals including the Twister 1000 wireless laser pocket mouse and Cyris T600 webcam – both designed with portability in mind, according to the vendor. HRP Group claims that it is one of the leading distributors on the Hungarian IT market.

Last month Icon7 signed a similar distribution agreement with Action covering the Polish market.
