South River signs WBC for France

by Stuart Wilson, Tuesday 10 June 2008

South River Technologies (SRT) has signed up WBC as a distributor to develop the channel to market for a French version of the vendor’s WebDrive product. WBC will exclusively distribute WebDrive – a universal file access client that South River claims enables users to securely access, edit and manage documents on remote servers through the convenience of a drive letter.

“Demand for SRT’s products including WebDrive has grown significantly in France and across Europe as more companies experience the convenience of securely accessing web-based files through the familiar interface of a drive letter,” said Michael Ryan, co-founder and CEO at South River Technologies. “We look forward to working closely with WBC to meet the needs of customers purchasing the new French version of WebDrive.”

"WebDrive has always been very popular in France and is known as a very easy-to-use file access client, allowing remote and secure data access, from anywhere and at any time,” said Michel Roux, CEO at WBC.

“South River Technologies is a leader in remote data access and WebDrive Web-enables every Windows application making it a logical extension to our products. Becoming South River Technologies’ exclusive distributor of the French version of WebDrive is a great satisfaction for WBC,” Roux added.

SRT has resellers in 41 countries. The addition of WBC brings the number of distributors offering native language versions of SRT software to five. These distributors typically take on a more active role in localising, selling and supporting SRT products. Last year, SRT expanded its relationship with German distributor Meco Systemhaus.

WBC has focused his activity on developing web-enabled applications for web-oriented business, like real estate agencies, e-commerce, maintenance companies, virtual desk and backup/restore solutions.

South River Technologies bills itself as an innovator in secure file management and collaboration software. The company’s software allows users to access, manage and share files over the internet in order to automate and streamline business processes and enhance productivity.

More than 60,000 customers in over 112 countries currently use SRT’s software to make remote file access and collaboration more efficient for their customers, partners and distributed workforce.
