ASSMANN Group has confirmed that it will exhibit at DISTREE Asia-Pacific (APAC) 2017, which takes place in Singapore from November 8-10th. The fifth annual DISTREE APAC regional channel event gives consumer technology vendors and brand owners the opportunity to hold pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with APAC’s leading distributors, plus senior executives from some of the region’s top retailers and e-tailers. ASSMANN will use the event to promote its ednet retail brand.

In 2012, the retail brand ednet became part of the ASSMANN Group. The brand portfolio spans technical lifestyle products and a wide range of accessories for smartphones and tablets as well as smart home solutions, dash cams, power supplies and charging products, light and sound gadgets, mobility products and cables.

With an increased focus on distribution this year, more than 150 executives representing more than 130 distributors are set to attend DISTREE APAC 2017. In addition, VIP retail and e-tail executives from across the region are invited, providing an extra value-add for exhibitors such as ASSMANN..

ASSMANN has two business units: the professional business unit with the brands of ASSMANN and DIGITUS Professional, focusing on datacentre and network infrastructure and the consumer business unit with the brands DIGITUS and ednet.

The DIGITUS brand was launched in 1994 and has been available on the global market for more than 20 years with a comprehensive product range covering the areas of security, surveillance, video distribution, computer components, cables and adapters.

DISTREE APAC will invite delegates from the following markets in South East Asia: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. SAARC countries of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will also form part of the delegate base. Oceania-based channel partners from Australia and New Zealand will also receive invites, as will distributors and key retailers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and China in North-Asia.

Christophe Painvin, Event Director for DISTREE APAC, said: “With over 4.5 billion people in APAC, representing nearly 60% of the world’s population, the region represents a huge channel growth opportunity for consumer tech brands such as ASSMANN Group.”
