DISTREE Russia announces workshop programme including sessions from Microsoft and GfK

DISTREE Russia has confirmed the line-up of workshops and small group sessions at this year’s technology channel event. The sessions form part of an extensive conference programme that runs alongside the main exhibition and pre-scheduled meetings between tech suppliers and channel buyers that take place at the event. DISTREE Russia 2017, which unites technology brands and distributors with senior executives from Russia’s leading B2C and B2B channel partners, takes place in Moscow on the 21-23rd June.

Frederic Simard, Event Director for DISTREE Russia, said: “We have a fantastic community of vendor, distributor, reseller, retailer and e-tailer executives attending this year’s event. The opportunity to discuss the latest market trends as part of an independent channel event helps this community address future business challenges.”

Session details

The confirmed line-up of workshops and small group sessions for DISTREE Russia 2017 is as follows:

Gamers & Millennials: The Importance of Influencer Marketing. Expanding on his keynote presentation, Alexander Likhtman, founder of 2L Agency, explores how consumer tech vendors can best reach gamers and millennials, identifying new approaches to tap into this lucrative consumer base.

GfK: Russian Digital Market Overview. An overview of the current state of digital market in Russia, including IT, office equipment, telecom, photo, consumer electronics. What were the biggest problems in 2016? What were the Q1 2017 results and market perspectives? Presented by Sergey Zadorozhniy, IT Sector Manager, GfK.

Microsoft: Implications of Federal Law 54. The new law will drive a migration to cash registers that transmit settlement information to the tax authorities through a fiscal data operator in electronic form. Anton Elikov, Director of Commerce at Merkata, Microsoft’s key partner specialising in POS solutions, will discuss the products and solutions that can assist.

Online Marketplaces across the World. Get an in-depth understanding of how important marketplaces such as Alibaba, Amazon, eBay and others nowadays are for consumer technology channels and how vendors, distributors and retailers should engage with the online giants running these trading platforms. Microsoft: Cloud-based Channel Strategies. This session, hosted by Andrey Vistavkin, Marketing Manager for Hybrid Infrastructures at Microsoft, will explore the growth of cloud solutions and the opportunities this creates for channel partners in Russia. The distribution and resell of cloud solutions creates a wide range of opportunities and challenges for all players in the business-to-business channel.

GfK: Russian High-End Consumer Markets. Post-crisis restoration and worldwide technology trends made high-end one of the most important growth points of Russian digital markets. How did consumer behaviour change and what technology innovations will lead the market in the coming years? GfK will explain together with an outlook on the development of retail channels and online sales.

Microsoft: Business Benefits of Modern Finance Systems. This workshop will explore the business benefits that modern IT-focused finance systems can deliver to a business. Attendees will learn how to move from finance data to insights through visualisation of reports and finance. The benefits of new collaboration tools will be explained.

GfK Breakfast & Briefing: Russian IT Market Trends 2017 – Back on Track. GfK will present and illustrate the top trends for Russian and regional IT and digital goods markets in 2017 and share GfK expectations with the audience (by invitation only). Challenges as well as opportunities for all Russian tech markets will be summarised for vendors, distributors, resellers and retailers.
