Badgy confirmed for DISTREE Middle East

by Stuart Wilson, Friday 28 April 2017

Plastic card printer brand Badgy, part of the Evolis Group, is ready to expand its channel reach into the Middle East in 2017. Badgy will attend DISTREE Middle East, which takes place in Dubai on May 8-10th. The event will give the Badgy team the ability to pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with a range of retailers, resellers, sub-distributors and trading houses capable of taking its products to market in the wider Middle East region.

Olivier Chevance, EMEA business manager at Badgy, said: “We will show our ready-to-use plastic card printer range Badgy at DISTREE Middle East, which can meet the needs of security agencies, schools, small and medium-sized retailers, SMB marketing departments, associations or sport clubs for the instant issue of ID cards, membership cards, student cards, loyalty and gift cards as well as many other uses.”

“Our product allows distributors to add a new solution to their product mix, opening a new opportunity with their existing client portfolio. We have been noticing strong potential for this type of product in the Middle East region since our participation as an exhibitor at the DISTREE EMEA distribution-focused event in Monaco in February 2017,” he added.

Badgy will use DISTREE Middle East to make the regional channel aware of its product offering and to drive the brand awareness of Badgy in the Middle East. “We would like to complete and balance our distributor network by recruiting new partners whose profile fit into our distribution strategy,” added Chavance. “After double-digit growth in Europe and ongoing channel recruitment in Eastern Europe, our next step is to enter the Middle Eastern region, starting with the GCC.”

“With Badgy, we bring to the market a disruptive solution, in terms of functionalities, price and marketing. We propose a channel programme with comfortable front margins on both consumables and printers,” he added. “We work closely with our partners to tailor a dedicated marketing approach that includes marketing content and POS materials.”

DISTREE Middle East 2017 is a trade-focused event that unites technology brands with the regional go-to-market ecosystem. Participants can pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with other delegates attending the event, enabling them to target specific markets or channels for their product portfolio.
