TechAccess gains Huawei CSP status in UAE

Middle East and North Africa (MENA) VAD outfit TechAccess has gained certified service partner (CSP) status from Huawei for the UAE. TechAccess began its relationship with Huawei earlier in the year and is the vendor’s only GCC-wide distributor. TechAccess has assigned a dedicated team to cover several countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

"Becoming a CSP is a matter of pride for TechAccess, and we’re extremely happy that we were able to achieve this status so quickly,” said Masood Salem, general manager for Huawei at TechAccess. "It reflects the trust that Huawei has in our expertise and our commitment to being a true VAD, that is dedicated to growing its market share across the region, and simultaneously taking care of its partners’ requirements.”

“We believe the investments we’ve made so far demonstrate our promise to the business, our partners and to the vendor. CSP status will help us build incremental business value for ourselves as well as our vendors and partners,” Salem added.

To achieve Huawei CSP status, TechAccess had to meet stringent criteria, which included having qualified and certified engineers, offering a 24/7 help desk, support ecosystem, and meeting service management standards and policies. TechAccess’ in-house team was able to satisfy all of Huawei’s CSP criteria, which also called for having an established presence in the market for a set minimum number of years, and making the requisite infrastructure and resource investments. TechAccess accomplished all of this within six months of starting its relationship with Huawei.

As a Certified Service Partner for Huawei, TechAccess can now sign direct service contracts with end-customers, and provide 24/7 support services. TechAccess will provide its CSP services under its dedicated brand TechCare.

"One of the key benefits for us as a CSP is that we get strong alignment with customers. This allows us to have a deeper relationship with customers, which is important, to understand what’s working, what challenges they face, and what their plans are for the future. This achievement is just the beginning of our efforts towards becoming Huawei’s first CSP for the region in the near future. We have already initiated talks with Huawei, and that will be one of TechAccess’ key objectives in 2017,” added Salem.

New SMB Channels event

SMB Channels Middle East, organised by DISTREE Events, will launch in Dubai in 2017. The new two-day event will bring together 300 executives from the region’s leading resellers of IT solutions focused on serving small and medium businesses (SMBs). More than 60 vendors and value-added distributors (VADs) are set to showcase their solutions and services in the main exhibition area at SMB Channels Middle East.
