DISTREE Brazil strengthens regional team

DISTREE Events has appointed Caio Campos as a new Sales Manager in Brazil. Caio has a wealth of experience in the Brazilian market with more than a decade of experience in the business-to-business tradeshow sector, with a focus on business development, growth strategies and event management.

In his new role, Caio will focus on the continued growth and expansion of DISTREE Brazil ( The annual channel event, taking place for the sixth year in a row in 2016, offers technology and consumer electronics brands and distributors the opportunity to hold pre-scheduled meetings with the region’s leading channel partners.

Frederic Simard, Event Director for DISTREE Brazil, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Caio to the DISTREE team as part of our regional restructuring. He has extensive knowledge of the Latin American vendor and channel landscape. Based in Sao Paulo, Caio will play a pivotal role in the further growth and development of DISTREE Brazil as the region’s premier channel event.”

Simard added: “Next year’s DISTREE Brazil will take place on September 22-23rd 2016 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The regional market for technology and consumer electronics products has huge long-term potential and we’re committed to helping companies manage, build or launch their routes-to-market in Brazil.”

DISTREE Events remains fully committed to the Brazilian market. Silvio Ramos, International Sales Manager, also forms part of a dedicated team focused on the further development of the exhibitor base for the event.

Prior to joining DISTREE Events, Caio spent more than a decade at Eletrolar, one of Brazil’s largest business-to-business trade fairs, with wide ranging responsibilities including commercial management and new business development.

Recent research from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) indicates that Latin American economic growth is recovering during the second half of 2015 and will gain further speed in 2016. With a population base of approximately 200 million, the Brazilian market represents a significant growth opportunity for both local and international brands of consumer technology products.
