Wearable Technology Conference confirms keynote speakers

by Stuart Wilson, Wednesday 12 March 2014

Next week’s Wearable Technology Conference (WTC) in London will include keynote speeches from Intel’s chief futurist and strategist, Steve Power Brown, plus Dave Evans, innovation guru for Cisco. The two-day event, which takes place at Olympia in London on March 18th and 19th, will feature 30 exhibitors with a number of UK product launches expected.

The conference and exhibition plans to cover every aspect of wearable technology from development and funding, through to testing and manufacturing. Additional speakers scheduled to participate include representatives from Google, Misfit Wearables, Fitbit, Microsoft, Mitsubishi and Virgin.

“Wearable tech is the big news for 2014 and it’s only going to get bigger, with experts predicting it will be worth as much as US$8.4 billion by 2018,” commented WTC director John Weir.

“And it’s not surprising when you consider it has the potential to impact all of our lives, both professionally and personally, affecting everything from our health and wellbeing, to the way we see, hear, communicate and play with the world,” he added.
