Epson educates Saudi sales partners

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 10 April 2008

Epson gathered together its Saudi Arabian partners this week for some intensive training on selling the vendor’s portfolio of business-focused products. The Epson education team arrived in Riyadh before moving on to Al Khobar to get the Kingdom’s reseller community up to speed on scanners, projectors and printers.

The training day attempted to equip the channel partners with in-depth knowledge about the latest technologies from Epson and their unique selling points (USPs). Zaid Ghattas, business development manager at Epson Middle East, said: “KSA is one of the most important markets for Epson in the Middle East, with a steadily increasing demand for our broad product range across the Kingdom.”

“We fully recognise the importance of our channel partners, who are integral to our market success since they form a vital link between us and the end user. It is imperative for us to keep the channel up-to-date with the cutting edge technologies used in our business products and to make them fully understand the distinct advantages that Epson’s products offer customers,” he added.

“Epson has a range of projectors, printers and scanners that are designed to effectively serve the needs of the education, government, healthcare and SMB sectors in the Middle East, a market in which we have been consistently strengthening our presence through quality products and after sale services, enhanced channel partnerships and innovative marketing activities,” concluded Ghattas.

Value added distributors participating in the Saudi sessions included Al Hoshan, SaudiSoft and Samir.
