Netgear breaks industry price barrier
NASDAQ-quoted Netgear, a provider of networking equipment, reckons that it has set a new bar for the networking industry by introducing the Netgear ProSAFE XS716E 16-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet Web Managed (Plus) Switch to its portfolio of the industry’s first affordable 10-Gigabit Copper (10GBASE-T) switches for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) including government agencies, educational facilities, and hospitality sites.

ASUS targets UAE gamers with latest kit
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced that it is bringing the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards to the UAE for the first time through its G752 notebook. Available to buy now, the G752 will also be showcased at Gitex Shopper this week priced from AED 11,499 (US$3131). The latest graphic cards designed specifically for laptops allow users to play games with a significantly improved experience similar to that of a desktop device, but at a far more accessible price. It will also be available in the UAE through world’s most powerful 18-inch gaming laptop, the GX800, by the end of this year.

Middle East and North Africa (MENA) VAD outfit TechAccess has gained certified service partner (CSP) status from Huawei for the UAE. TechAccess began its relationship with Huawei earlier in the year and is the vendor’s only GCC-wide distributor. TechAccess has assigned a dedicated team to cover several countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
