Brazil offers channel growth opportunities

Research house GfK’s latest analysis of the ICT, telecoms and consumer electronics market in Brazil indicates that the total market value grew 23.6% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2014 to hit US$12.84 billion. Tablet sales rise sharply in Mexico

Tablet sales in Mexico hit 1.1 million units in the first quarter of 2014, up 36% year-on-year, according to research firm IDC. The tablet size of choice was 7” and 8” models, which accounted for 69% of products sold in the first quarter. IDC attributed the popularity of these sizes to their affordability. Read full story
