Galaxy to launch in Latin America
Components vendor Galaxy will promote its Nvidia Geforce series of graphics cards at next week’s DISTREE Latin America. The vendor is ready to launch its channel expansion across the region. Ronnie Chow, sales director at Galaxy, said: "DISTREE Latin America allows us to meet with channel customers from across Latin America and promote our brand, product and service to channel customers. The number of meeting requests submitted by delegates ahead of next week’s DISTREE Latin America has already topped 2,200 according to the event’s organiser. TV features drive Latin American monitor sales
Research house GfK reckons that Latin American monitor sales in the first half of 2012 were boosted by an increasing demand for models with integrated TV features. GfK’s research estimates that monitor sales were up 65% year-on-year in the first half of 2012 in Argentina, with Brazilian sales up 56%. Monitor sales in Chile more than doubled but the regional growth trend was not see in Peru, according to GfK.
