I-Life picks up Microsoft business expansion award

Consumer electronics brand I-Life has won a ‘Business Expansion FY 18’ award from Microsoft, recognising its consistent growth and expansion in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and CIS region. I-Life’s products are aimed at budget-smart consumers. Citing IDC statistics, I-Life claims that it took the top spot in the entry-level notebook and tablet category for 2017 in the Middle East and Africa region. Read full story

Ingram Micro appointed as Forcepoint VAD in MEA

Ingram Micro has signed a Middle East & Africa (MEA) distribution deal with cybersecurity outfit Forcepoint. Under the terms of the deal, Ingram Micro is authorised to distribute the complete Forcepoint offering in 23 countries across the MEA region including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Cameroon, Egypt, Gabon, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Malta, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Tunisia, the UAE and Yemen. Distributor Redington has whipped the covers off its new global brand identity including a new logo and tagline. The distributor has significant presence in India, South Asia, Middle East, Turkey and Africa with sales running at approximately US$6 billion per annum. Dell EMC appoints Mitsumi as African distributor

Mitsumi Distribution has been appointed by Dell EMC Middle East as an authorised distributor for the Africa region. Mitsumi claims that the move demonstrates Dell EMC’s confidence in the distributor to grow the brand across the region. Ingram Micro adds GFI Software rights in MEA

Distributor Ingram Micro has signed a Middle East and Africa (MEA) distribution deal with secutity and communications software provider GFI Software. Building on its existing relationship with GFI Software in Turkey and Australia, this new agreement will allow Ingram Micro to distribute GFI’s complete range of IT solutions to channel partners in 17 additional countries, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen. Tech retailers, e-tailers and marketplaces from 20-plus countries confirmed for DISTREE Middle East
