Canon honours Emax, Carrefour, Media Square and Extra

Canon Middle East, a leader in imaging solutions, reinforced its commitment to channel partners at its latest regional awards. The awards formed part of a two-day ‘Imaging Inspired’ event that saw 170 decision makers from Canon’s tier one and tier two channel partners from across the Middle East region gather together. In the Middle East region, Emax UAE bagged the Canon Middle East performance award for 2016 in the DSLR and lens category, considered a prime business area for Canon. Read full story

TP-Link launches SMB partner programme in MEA

Networking vendor TP-Link has unveiled an SMB partner programme for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The launch event, which was held in Dubai, saw more than 60 systems integrators (SIs) from the UAE market attend, where TP-Link outlined its go-to-market strategy and R&D priorities. TP-Link claims that the launch of the SMB partner programme paves the way for the company to recruit and develop a select number of SI partners who will resell its SMB products and solutions in the region. Ingram Micro to host cloud event in Dubai

Distributor Aptec, an Ingram Micro company, will host its inaugural Cloud Summit 2016 event for channel partners and prospects across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region later this month. Ingram Micro Cloud Summit META will take place in Dubai from November 13-15th. The event hopes to attract hundreds of the region’s solution providers, cloud service providers, cloud vendors, telcos, hosters, ISVs, and other cloud visionaries. Logicom extends Microsoft rights in Gulf

Distributor Logicom has expanded its distribution agreement with Microsoft to include UAE, Kuwait, and Oman. The deal now covers the entire Gulf region. Logicom is now an official distributor for Microsoft original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products and full packaged products (FPP) in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait and Oman. NASDAQ-quoted e-mail and data security company Mimecast has announced Middle East expansion plans. Mimecast has appointed two security-focused distributors to accelerate its growth and enhance customer experience in the region.
