ABM adds B&O PLAY rights

Middle East distributor Arab Business Machines (ABM) has signed a regional distribution deal with high-end audio specialists Bang & Olufsen. Under the terms of the agreement. ABM will sell B&O PLAY products from Bang & Olufsen in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon. ABM will be responsible for building a third party retail channel of stores to sell the B&O PLAY range, with the exception of dedicated Bang & Olufsen stores. Read full story

Dell creates META business region

Vendor giant Dell has announced the creation of a new Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) business region. The company claims that the move will help strengthen its presence in the region and create a new scalable structure that can provide additional support to partners and customers. Driss Elougmani will lead Dell’s META business. Dell’s South Africa business will continue to remain a separate organisation. Read full story

Axiom launches damage insurance service

Middle East mobile device retailer and distributor Axiom has launched a damage insurance service for customers purchasing mobile devices. According to Axiom, the majority of customers’ technical problems arise due to accidental damage, such as dropping the phone either in water or on the ground, which causes the device to malfunction. TP-LINK signs Jarir Bookstore in Saudi Arabia

Networking vendor TP-LINK has boosted its retail channel reach in Saudi Arabia, striking an agreement with in-country retail colossus Jarir Bookstore. The deal will see TP-LINK’s products sold through Jarir’s network of 30-plus stores across the Kingdom.
