Satyam named SAP MENA strategic partner

Software colossus SAP has confirmed Satyam as its first strategic partner for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The deal marks the extension of an existing alliance between the two companies. Satyam will manage more than 20% of SAP’s business in the MENA under the terms of the ‘strategic services’ agreement, which is a new region-specific partnership initiative rolled out by business software provider SAP. With Iraq’s IT market forecast to reach US$1.1 billion in 2008, interest in signing up in-country channel partners is growing apace.
