Kodak scans Europe for more resellers

Kodak has launched a new European reseller programme as part of its efforts to attract new partners to push its range of scanners. Kodak is offering 10% cashback to registered resellers when they sell select scanner models. The new programme is open to both existing resellers and new partners. Read full story

Stonesoft adds more markets for Magirus

Stonesoft has extended its distribution agreement with Magirus to cover the whole of Europe. The deal, which initially covered Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, has now been enlarged to include the UK, Denmark, Sweden, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and the Middle East. Tegtmeier takes European channel role at Linksys

Consumer and small business networking outfit Linksys – a division of Cisco - has named Ulrike Tegtmeier as the new executive leader for its European sales organisation. As VP European markets, Tegtmeier will oversee Cisco’s consumer sales efforts across Western Europe including retail, distribution, e-commerce and VAR channels. Read full story

Actebis completes SAP upgrade

Actebis has announced that it successfully upgraded its ERP systems across six countries this summer, unlocking numerous business benefits for resellers in the process, according to the European distribution giant. Actebis switched from SAP R3 to SAP ERP 6.0 in an upgrade that was virtually unnoticed by the market – evidence of a smooth transition. Read full story

Ingram Micro EMEA snaps up Intertrade

Distribution giant Ingram Micro EMEA has snapped up VAD Intertrade to create what it describes as ‘pan-European market reach’ for data capture and point of sale business. Intertrade sells automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technologies to solution providers and systems integrators. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close by the year-end, were not disclosed. Read full story

DataCore and Fujitsu Siemens team up in Europe

Fujitsu Siemens and DataCore have announced a European partnership, which will see the two companies collaborate on distribution, marketing and technical support. The two vendors claim that the deal has come about through the growth and success of DataCore’s storage virtualisation software projects and Fujitsu Siemens hardware and project support. Azlan bags D-Link project deal in Europe

Tech Data’s Azlan unit has been picked to provide distribution services for networking outfit D-Link as part of a project to supply equipment to cinemas across Europe. D-Link is providing Arts Alliance Media (AAM), one of Europe’s leading providers of digital film distribution services, with the network infrastructure for digital cinemas throughout the European region. C-MI Labs lands DES distribution deal

Data Encryption Systems (DES) has struck a distribution deal with C-MI Labs. Under the terms of the deal C-MI, which bills itself as a specialist online distributor of security technology, will sell DES’s encryption tool, DESlock+, to its UK reseller base. Read full story

Quintum adds Italian VAD

VoIP technologies vendor Quintum has signed up Bludis as a value-added distributor in Italy. Bludis, which offers VoIP expertise and services to resellers in Italy, will spearhead Quintum’s efforts in the country. Bludis will support and develop Quintum’s Tenor VoIP switch and gateway business and also target new Microsoft initiatives with Microsoft Office communications server 2007. Read full story

Sangoma signs distribution deal with Allnet

Sangoma Technologies, a PC-based telephony solutions provider, has partnered with Allnet - a European developer, manufacturer and distributor of advanced networking and communications technology - to expand its route-to-market in France.
