Miel purrs for BlueCat

BlueCat Networks has continued its European channel expansion, striking an exclusive distribution deal with French VAD Miel. Saaspoint goes for Google

Saaspoint, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation and consulting outfit, has signed up for Google’s enterprise partner programme. Saaspoint plans to use Google Apps to deliver desktop and mobile applications to enterprise and SMB customers. As a Google enterprise partner, Saaspoint will assist customers in deriving more value from their Google deployments. Read full story

Formjet takes Panda to Ireland

AIM-listed Formjet has opened offices in the Republic of Ireland to push Panda Security solutions through two distributors: Option Electronics and Asbis. UK-based Formjet acquires territorial rights to software products and markets, sells, distributes and supports them in place of the vendor. In other words, Formjet acts as a virtual subsidiary for the vendors it represents. Read full story

ATS targets UC channel in UK

Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS) plans to target the unified communications solution channel in the UK with its latest initiative. The VAD will target both new and existing channel partners at a launch event tomorrow. ATS reckons that it is now in a position to offer resellers a unique integrated offering of unified voice, video and messaging to take to market. Read full story

BlueCat brings ATS on board

BlueCat Networks has struck a UK and Ireland distribution deal with Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS). Under the terms of the agreement ATS will operate as a VAD for BlueCat exclusively marketing and promoting BlueCat’s Proteus IPAM solution and Adonis family of DNS/DHCP appliances to resellers in the UK and Ireland. The agreement is expected to expand to cover additional European markets. Read full story

Computerlinks grabs Google rights

Computerlinks has struck a European distribution deal for Google’s enterprise software as a service (SaaS) offering. Under the terms of the agreement, Computerlinks - an IT security and internet technology VAD – will take Google’s solutions to market in the UK, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland. Samsung strengthens printing team

Samsung’s European printing operation has underlined its commitment to growth with the appointment of two more senior executives. Mark Porter has joined as sales and marketing director with Paul Fox signing up as head of corporate and enterprise sales. In his most recent role Porter was responsible for Brocade’s sales channel across Europe. Fox joins after more than a decade with Lexmark. Read full story

Blade sharpens European channel

Blade Network Technologies has struck a European agreement with VAD Bell Microproducts. Under the terms of the deal Bell will distribute Blade’s Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) RackSwitch product family throughout Europe. Blade operates in the data centre networking arena and will work with Bell to promote its RackSwitch product family. Read full story

Azlan rejigs European line-up

Azlan, the VAD unit of distribution giant Tech Data, has shuffled its European management team. Sean Kendrick has been appointed director of European marketing and SMB activation, while Uwe Stein has taken on the role of director software and solutions Europe. Distrilogie Group mops up Mambo

Distrilogie Group has acquired Spanish security and communications distributor Mambo Technology. The deal is the sixth European acquisition by Distrilogie - an IT infrastructure solutions distributor – since 2004. Distrilogie claims that its lates purchase forms part of its continuing drive for development through external growth. Read full story
