Media Markt and Amazon among retail winners at ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2016 Awards’

The ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2016 Awards’ were held in conjunction with regional channel event DISTREE EMEA 2016. These included a series of nine awards for consumer technology retailers and e-tailers operating in Europe, plus one award for online marketplaces featuring consumer technology products. Media Markt was the big winner on the night, picking up the Retailer of the Year Award in four separate regions: South East Europe, Southern Europe, DACH and Benelux. Online giant Amazon emerged triumphant in two categories as the company was crowned UK & Ireland Retailer of the Year and also picked up the European Online Marketplace of the Year Award. aiFi eyes international growth at DISTREE EMEA

Sweden-based wireless speaker brand aiFi is heading to Monaco this week for DISTREE EMEA as it looks to start building out its international channel reach. DISTREE EMEA workshops confirmed

DISTREE Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has confirmed the full line-up of workshops and summit sessions at this year’s regional channel event, which takes place from February 24-27th in Monaco. The line-up features a number of organisations speaking at DISTREE EMEA for the first time including BVOH, Early Metrics, European Hardware Association (EHA), Futurecandy, Rude Baguette and Zyme. Also and Westcoast agree cloud cooperation

Distributors Also and Westcoast have agreed on a cooperation to become the largest Microsoft cloud solution provider (CSP) in Europe. Under the terms of the agreement the Also cloud marketplace will also be made available to Westcoast partners.
