Igaware picks up Zarafa rights in UK

Network appliance vendor, Igaware has been appointed UK distributor for integrated Zarafa appliances by Zarafa, a European groupware company. Zarafa is a fast growing commercial Linux-based groupware firm in Europe with an e-mail and collaboration solution developed to rival MS Exchange. Read full story

Azlan signs SectorSix deal

Azlan, the VAD arm of Tech Data, has signed an exclusive European channel distribution deal with SectorSix, a provider of Cisco-based IP communications software. Under the exclusive European channel agreement, Azlan will make the complete suite of SectorSix products available to Cisco VARs across Europe. Read full story

Tech Data reveals second quarter figures

Global distribution giant Tech Data has announced sales of US$5.18 billion for the second quarter ending July 31st 2009, a 15.9% fall from a year earlier. After-tax profits climbed to US$35.2m compared to US$22.1m in the second quarter of 2008. Read full story

Systemax boosts European presence

Reseller giant Systemax has signed a definitive agreement to buy WStore Europe, a European supplier of business IT products, for an undisclosed sum. WStore has operations in both France and the UK. Systemax hopes to close the deal in the third quarter subject to certain closing conditions including approval by the Competition Authority in France. Read full story

Azlan lands Tandberg in Europe

Elko takes on Tecnoware

Latvia-based Elko Group’s appetite for new vendors is showing no signs of abating. The latest addition to the Baltic distribution giant’s portfolio is UPS vendor Tecnoware. Elko has struck an exclusive distribution agreement with Tecnoware covering the Baltics. Prior to this deal, Tecnoware did not have official channel representation in the region. Read full story
