Panasonic signs pan-EMEA deal with Nuvias

Panasonic Business has appointed Nuvias as its first pan-EMEA distributor for its range of business IP phone handsets. The initial roll-out will focus on established markets for Nuvias, including the UK, Benelux, Germany and France, along with Southern Europe and the Nordics. Nuvias will act as a high value distributor for the full range of Panasonic IP handsets. This comprises desktop phones, and both single cell and multi-cell DECT solutions, for use within cloud-based UC environments, including BroadSoft. Read full story

Also wins Microsoft distributor accolade

Distribution giant Also picked up a 2017 Microsoft distributor partner of the year award. The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for successfully implementing innovations and customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. “We are delighted to receive this award,” said Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of Also Holding. Monitor market shifts towards high-end

Worldwide shipments of desktop monitors declined by 1.1% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2017, according to the latest figures from CONTEXT, the IT market analysis company. The low-end of each market has been noticeably shrinking, and there has been a marked change in the product mix. There has been a shift to larger, more expensive screens; rising sales of curved monitors, higher resolution displays and gaming monitors; and growing demand for 21:9 monitors. This, in turn, has increased the ASP with prices rising +2% year-on-year, according to CONTEXT. Read full story

EET Group announces new CEO

EET Group, one of Europe´s largest IT and technology distributors, has appointed Søren Drewsen as new CEO as of August 1st 2017. Drewsen succeeds CEO John Thomas, who after 20 years with the company, has decided to step down to spend more time with his family. Thomas will join the board of directors of EET Group, and will remain a shareholder along with majority owner FSN Capital. Read full story

Centrify appoints new EMEA channel director

Centrify, a company specialising in securing hybrid enterprises through the power of identity services, has appointed John Andrews as its new EMEA channel director.
