Ingres debuts partner programme

Ingres has launched a partner programme that it claims will both empower and showcase partners achieving success using the open source business model. Ingres, which provides open source database management software and support services, announced the programme launch at its global partner summit in Prague. C2C appoints EMEA sales boss

E-mail data management solutions player C2C has appointed Andrew Brown as sales manager for the EMEA region with immediate effect. Brown previously held the position of senior account manager for the UK. Brown, will now attempt to repeat his UK success on a wider scale and drive C2C’s growth throughout the EMEA region and expand the companies channels to market. Read full story

OpenSpan rouses Raby for EMEA mission

Service-oriented architecture platform player OpenSpan has appointed Steve Raby as VP sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). OpenSpan generated 40% of its 2007 sales from outside North America and the company is keen to realise the significant growth opportunities that exist in overseas markets. Rectron signs up Samsung and Epson

South African channel giant Rectron has expanded its vendor portfolio, signing a deal with Samsung to distribute the vendor giant’s complete range of mono and colour laser printers and consumables across the country. Rectron has also struck a new distribution agreement with Epson. The deals come just weeks after HP and Rectron ended a printer distribution agreement. Read full story

Blouin takes on tough job at Bell

Bell Microproducts has named Marc Blouin as VP finance and chief accounting officer. In his new role Bouin will look after Bell’s accounting operations and corporate accounting functions, such as consolidations, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Blouin faces a tough first few weeks at Bell. The company was delisted from NASDAQ last week for failing to file overdue reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Read full story

Bell Micro delisted from NASDAQ

Bell Microproducts has been delisted from NASDAQ for failing to file overdue reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The value-added distributor has stated that it, ‘is working diligently to complete this process and will promptly seek relisting of its common stock once completed’. Read full story
