Procera pumps up EMEA channel

Deep packet inspection solutions provider Procera is pumping up its channel to market in EMEA, signing up distributors and resellers across the region. The vendor is also strengthening its own team and winning new customers in the EMEA theatre. AMD confirms Ghilardi appointment

Components outfit AMD has confirmed that Emilio Ghilardi will join the vendor in mid-August to take on a new role as senior VP and general manager EMEA. Ghilardi joins AMD from HP, where he most recently held the position of VP and general manager for the vendor’s EMEA consumer business unit. AMD has also announced that Alberto Macchi, corporate VP for sales and marketing in EMEA is leaving the company. Read full story

Westcon names new COO

WatchGuard ramps up EMEA presence

Network security solutions vendor WatchGuard has officially opened an EMEA headquarters in The Hague. The move forms part of a wider effort by WatchGuard to develop its operations in EMEA. Avaya appoints new worldwide channel boss

Business communications outfit Avaya has recruited Jeremy Butt to head up its worldwide channels operation. In his new role, Butt will lead the company’s channel sales organisation, developing strategies and programmes for more than 3,400 of the vendor’s systems integrator, service provider, distributor, VAR and solution provider channel around the world. Brightstar launches global accessories unit

Wireless device distribution giant Brightstar has whipped the covers off its new global accessories company called Brightstar Accessories. The new unit, which will be headquartered in Miami, will focus on the procurement, marketing, sales and distribution of innovative mobile device accessories to operator, retail and dealer customers worldwide. Open Solutions signs EMEA partnership with HP

Open Solutions has struck an EMEA teaming alliance partnership with HP. The two companies reckon the deal will allow Open Solutions to push its integrated enabling technologies for financial services providers to more potential customers across EMEA.
