Saaspoint goes for Google

Saaspoint, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation and consulting outfit, has signed up for Google’s enterprise partner programme. Saaspoint plans to use Google Apps to deliver desktop and mobile applications to enterprise and SMB customers. Avaya names new EMEA distribution boss

Avaya has appointed Thomas Veit as its new distribution director for the EMEA region. In his new role, Veit will report into Jeremy Butt, VP worldwide channels at Avaya. Veit will lead the distribution strategy for Avaya’s products and solutions through business and channel partners in EMEA. Veit joins Avaya from SonicWall where he held the position of senior director for EMEA sales operation and emerging markets. Read full story

Best Buy eyes new sales channels

Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS) has signed an EMEA distribution deal with memory products vendor Transcend Information. Transcend offers a full line of standard and proprietary memory modules, USB flash drives and portable hard drives, solid-state disks, MP3 players, flash memory cards, card readers, and multimedia products.
