Open Text teams up with Logica

Open Text has formed a partnership with European IT and business services company Logica. Under the terms of the deal, Logica and enterprise content management (ECM) vendor Open Text will collaborate on the implementation of joint market offerings, based on Open Text’s ECM software, in conjunction with a range of consulting, systems integration, application management and managed operation services from Logica. CA has launched a customised partner programme for its internet security products. The programme offers training, certification, financial incentives, customer leads, sales collateral, support and an online demonstration centre. HDS strengthens Saudi channel

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has strengthened its channel in Saudi Arabia, signing up two new partners. The storage solutions vendor has added Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) and Business Management Company (BMC) as partners. US-based flash drive vendor Ironkey has announced that more than 100 VARs are now signed up for its global channel programme. STME bags HDS partner prize

Middle East storage integrator STME has picked up a 2007 partner award from Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) at the vendor’s annual executive partner forum for Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Africa. During event, which was held in Munich, Germany, STME picked up its partner prize in the sofwtare category in recognition of its integration of a Hitachi storgae solution at a large Middle East enterprise customer. Alcock exits Morse

Kevin Alcock, chief executive at London-quoted UK-based integrator and IT services provider Morse, is leaving the company with immediate effect. Kevin Loosemore becomes executive chairman at the company. The news of Alcock’s departure was contained in a trading update from Morse, which revealed that sales for the year ending June 2008 would be marginally down compared to last year’s sales figure of US$507.8m.
