UK distributor Entatech has added the Func range to its gaming portfolio. Entatech will push the Surface 1030 and MS-3 gaming mouse from Func. Entatech offers a growing portfolio of gaming and peripheral vendors, as it looks to carve out a reputation as a distributor of high-specification gaming products.

Senheng announces MOLPay collaboration
Malaysian retailer Senheng has announced a strategic collaboration with online payment solution provider MOLPay. Under the terms of the agreement, MOLPay will add a physical payment service to its online merchants’ payment methods. Consumers will be able to purchase online and pay for the transactions in cash at any of Senheng’s 130-plus outlets in Malaysia.

Binetti gets EMEA channel role at Dell
Hardware vendor Dell has named Laurent Binetti as general manager of EMEA channel sales. Most recently he served as general manager for the Dell commercial business in the Southern Europe region. Binetti replaces Emmanuel Mouquet who will become general manager of Dell France from 1st February 2013. Mouquet has overseen sales in Dell’s PartnerDirect programme since its creation and helped it grow to the point where channel now accounts for 50% of the vendor’s sales in EMEA.

Also-Actebis grabs majority stake in Atomblock
European distribution giant Also-Actebis has acquired a majority stake in Dutch electronic software distribution (ESD) outfit Atomblock. The company will in future trade under the name Also Digital. In addition to ESD, Atomblock, which was set up in 2010, also offers point of sales activation (POSA) services.

Senheng teams with U Mobile for data packages
Malaysian IT and consumer electronics retailer Senheng Electric has launched a tablet PC promotion with telecoms operator U Mobile. Under the terms of the agreement U Mobile becomes the first 3G telecoms operator to provide data packages with devices sold through Senheng and SenQ retail outlets across Malaysia. U Mobile believes the deal is an important step in terms of widening in-country distribution of its data packages.

BrightPoint strikes Fitbit deal
Mobility distributor BrightPoint has struck a logistics services agreement with Fitbit, a manufacturer of wireless fitness and health devices. Under the terms of the deal, BrightPoint’s regional affiliates will provide a variety of logistic services in both Europe and North America, including receiving, warehousing, inventory and order management, kitting, transportation management, order fulfilment and reverse logistics for the Fitbit ultra wireless tracker and Aria Wi-Fi smart scale.

Brightstar divests European stake
Mobility distributor Brightstar has agreed to divest its 50% stake in its European joint venture to Tech Data for US$165.6m cash. Brightstar has announced that, despite the divestment, it plans to continue operating in Europe through a wholly-owned subsidiary.

MTI adds Amacrox brand in Ukraine
Ukrainian distributor MTI has extended its cooperation with FSP adding the vendor’s Amacrox universal power units to its product portfolio. MTI will also supply external batteries and car chargers sold under the Amacrox brand. The Amacrox brand was established eight years ago by FSP. The company has now clearly divided its brand names with FSP focused on components and Amacrox centred on power solutions for mobile devices.
