Nuvias bags Benelux distributor DCB

Nuvias Group, the pan-EMEA VAD has acquired Benelux VAD outfit DCB. Nuvias already has offices in both Amsterdam and Brussels. This move will strengthen and grow its presence in the Benelux region, according to Nuvias. DCB has more than twenty years’ experience in the industry and is focused on cybersecurity, with a vendor portfolio including WatchGuard Technologies, Kaspersky Lab, Trustwave and Centrify. European distribution giant ALSO Holding has completed its acquisition of Netherlands-based distributor Five 4 U. The deal has been approved by antitrust regulators. Panasonic signs pan-EMEA deal with Nuvias

Panasonic Business has appointed Nuvias as its first pan-EMEA distributor for its range of business IP phone handsets. The initial roll-out will focus on established markets for Nuvias, including the UK, Benelux, Germany and France, along with Southern Europe and the Nordics. Nuvias will act as a high value distributor for the full range of Panasonic IP handsets. This comprises desktop phones, and both single cell and multi-cell DECT solutions, for use within cloud-based UC environments, including BroadSoft. Read full story

AB Group bond issue raises US$20m

Central & Eastern European distributor AB Group has raised PLN75m (US$20.15m) through long-term bonds to further develop the business. Grzegorz Ochędzan, CFO at AB Group, said: “The change of the AB Group financing structure since 2014, based on long-term bonds that have replaced short-term bank loans, has provided a growth impulse for the company.” Read full story

Tech Data expands Docker rights in Europe

Distribution giant Tech Data’s technology solutions business, formerly a division of Avnet, has extended its distribution agreement with Docker, to deliver their enterprise edition (EE) offering across a wider European footprint. The extended footprint includes Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, as well as the East region countries where it operates, including Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, and the Adriatic region.
