Lowe rejoins Check Point

Check Point has appointed Nick Lowe as regional director for Northern Europe. He has rejoined Check Point having previously spent over eight years with the company from 2003 to 2011, latterly as head of Western Europe sales. After leaving Check Point he was VP of Sales and general manager EMEA for workplace virtualisation vendor AppSense for four years, where he was responsible for all go-to-market activities across EMEA and APAC. Fortinet announces 2016 partners of the year

Cybersecurity solutions provider Fortinet has announced the winners of its 2016 partner of the year awards. Fortinet’s awards recognised outstanding cybersecurity sales, customer experience, collaboration, and marketing achievements from the company’s distributors and resellers around the world. TP-Link to recruit systems integrators for SMB channel push

TP-Link, a provider of SOHO, SMB networking products, wireless LAN solutions and mobile devices, has started recruiting systems integrators (SIs) for its recently unveiled SMB portfolio of products in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Panasonic Toughbook appoints European partner manager

Panasonic Toughbook has appointed Sylvaine Smith as its head of partner management for Europe to further expand its share of the rugged notebook, tablet and handheld markets with industry solution-focused partnerships. Panasonic claims to hold 66% share of European revenues for rugged notebooks and convertibles, and 59% revenue share for rugged tablets, meaning the Panasonic Toughbook and Toughpad range sold more devices across Europe than the rest of the rugged notebook and tablet competition combined. Sophos targets Middle East SMB channel

Security solutions provider Sophos has announced a new initiative for small and medium sized businesses (SMB) in the Middle East. The special training and incentive initiative for channel partners is designed to enable them to address SMBs as a focus for their go-to-market activities.
