BenQ eyes Eastern European potential

BenQ has pledged to continue its channel expansion in Central and Eastern Europe in 2009. The hardware vendor continues to identify the distribution partners that will enable it to build market share in specific countries throughout the region, opening up new channels to market for its expansive product portfolio. Powertraveller prepares for EMEA channel charge

UK-based portable power and charging solutions supplier Powetraveller plans to dramatically expand its EMEA distribution channel in 2009. The fast-growing vendor, led by ex-Royal Marine Jerry Ranger, already sells its kit onboard some 60 airlines worldwide. To boost its EMEA channel presence, the Powertraveller team will be out in force at DISTREE XXL 2009 to recruit additional distributors across mainland Europe. Read full story

ComTrade signs VMware distribution deal

South East Europe IT powerhouse ComTrade Group has struck a distribution deal with virtualisation software outfit VMware. Under the terms of the deal, NTCHS, which is part of the ComTrade Group, has become exclusive distributor for VMware software solutions in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia. Middle East Cisco distribution outfit Comstor took some of its most important resellers to Jordan as part of its ‘fly with Comstor’ promotion. Computerlinks signs SanDisk enterprise deal

Security and internet solutions distributor Computerlinks has struck a distribution deal to sell SanDisk’s enterprise division security solutions. The deal includes the SanDisk Cruzer enterprise range of centrally managed encrypted USB flash drives. Computerlinks reckons that the deal complements its existing portfolio of end point security products, which includes RSA, Lumension, Citrix and Check Point. Read full story

Krusell eyes channel expansion

Swedish design company Krusell will use the forthcoming DISTREE XXL 2009 event as a springboard for further international expansion of its distribution channel. Krusell specialises in the design, manufacturing and marketing of cases for mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and MP3 players. DNS Arrow picks up EMEA Citrix distributor award

Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) has announced that its DNS Arrow unit has been selected as Citrix’s EMEA distributor of the year.
