Seiko Precision highlights margin potential

Seiko Precision plans to highlight the margin potential of its printing products to distributors at next year’s DISTREE XXL EMEA channel event. The company’s two brands - Seiko Precision and Seiko Instruments - offer a portfolio of dot matrix printer, time server and time recorder as well as smart label printers. Seiko Precision claims that its product portfolio offers distributors a business opportunity characterised by high margins and long-term customer relationships.

Karsten Micke, sales manager for the West Europe and Africa printer division at Seiko Precision, said: “We’re attending DISTREE XXL to meet existing and new partners and present our new products: the Seiko Precision time server and the Seiko Instruments new label printer. The event is a chance to meet high level decision makers.”

East Europe and Africa remain a primary focus for Seiko’s channel development efforts, but the company is not losing sight of the potential that also exists in other parts of the EMEA theatre. The Seiko brand has been around for more than a century and Micke reckons that it is a company that channel partners can trust.

“Honesty, flexibility and willingness to listen and learn from customers and partners are our strengths,” added Micke. “We pursue strategies that we develop alongside our local partners and we work together with them as a team. What we won’t do is suddenly change the strategy every six months and put partners in trouble as a result.”

“Seiko Precision and Seiko Instruments appreciate the value of building strong distributor relationships in both the established and emerging markets across EMEA. We work with our distributors closely to build our brands and are always looking for new partners that enable us to reach our objectives,” Micke explained.

“The economic situation is touching all parts of the industry but we continue to have a stable business,” said Micke. “Our products are perhaps not the newest and most sexy products, but our partners are able to realise profit with them.”
