Tegtmeier takes European channel role at Linksys

by Stuart Wilson, Monday 6 October 2008

Consumer and small business networking outfit Linksys – a division of Cisco - has named Ulrike Tegtmeier as the new executive leader for its European sales organisation. As VP European markets, Tegtmeier will oversee Cisco’s consumer sales efforts across Western Europe including retail, distribution, e-commerce and VAR channels.

“During our first meeting, Ulrike demonstrated her passionate vision on business management and the consumer market as well as her ability to translate high level strategy into clear execution plans, without losing sight of the company’s goals” said Chris White, VP global consumer sales at Linksys. “With her skills and experience, she will be a key pillar in executing our strategic plan and driving revenue and growth in this key market.”

Prior to joining Cisco, Tegtmeier held various positions at Evo-MIT, Philips, Ericsson and several leadership positions at Iomega International. In her new role as VP European Markets, Tegtmeier will be based in Germany and will report into White.

Tegtmeier will lead Cisco’s consumer sales efforts in Western Europe. Her primary objective is expanding Cisco’s consumer footprint in Europe and positioning the company as an enabler of the ‘connected life’, according to the vendor.
