Comztek adds Microsoft to rewards programme

by Stuart Wilson, Thursday 18 September 2008

South African IT distributor Comztek has expanded its partner rewards programme to offer resellers PlusPoints for Microsoft licensing purchases. Channel partners will earn PlusPoints based on the amount spent on qualifying Microsoft products from Comztek. The offer is open to all resellers in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho that are registered Microsoft partners.

David Caygill, Comztek business unit director, said: "We chose PlusPoints as a rewards system because we believe this is one of the most innovative and inclusive partner reward systems that exist. Through PlusPoints, resellers can pool together rewards received from up to five different vendors and accumulate these into one larger rewards currency that can be redeemed for meaningful prizes."

To start earning points, resellers must activate their PlusPoints account and purchase the relevant Microsoft products from Comztek. There are no forms to be filled in, according to the distributor, and all updates to the PlusPoint account are done automatically.

PlusPoints can be redeemed for a wide array of merchandise or activities available on the Pluspoints catalogue, ranging from weekend getaways to the latest gadgets and electronics. The offer runs until August 2009.

Comztek has its head office in Johannesburg with offices in Kwazulu Natal and in the Cape Province. The company recently refocused its operations to include four business units: networks, security and storage, software infrastructure and consumer electronics.
