Tech Data’s Azlan unit has been picked to provide distribution services for networking outfit D-Link as part of a project to supply equipment to cinemas across Europe. D-Link is providing Arts Alliance Media (AAM), one of Europe’s leading providers of digital film distribution services, with the network infrastructure for digital cinemas throughout the European region.
Steve Cant, European business development director of Azlan EMEA, said: "Azlan has tremendous resources at its disposal and a highly capable team with vast experience of successfully planning and delivering international fulfilment projects on behalf of vendor and solution provider partners.”
“The work we have done with D-Link and Arts Alliance Media provides an excellent illustration of just how effectively we can put those resources to use to deliver a consistent and efficient service throughout Europe,” Cant added.
Kevin Wen, president at D-Link Europe, said: "D-Link’s selection by AAM for this application is indicative of the reliability, performance and world-class support that D-Link provides. We wanted a distribution partner that could deliver to high standards and provide a consistent and reliable service throughout Europe. We are looking forward to working closely with Azlan and AAM as business partners and playing a part in enabling the digital cinema evolution throughout Europe."
Cant continued: "No other distributor is able to provide the same levels of service as Azlan’s throughout the European region. Our International business team has vast expertise and experience and with our advanced logistics and management systems, we can co-ordinate and manage distribution and fulfilment operations all over Europe, tailoring our service to meet specific requirements and providing an absolute assurance of consistent reliable delivery."
A range of D-Link kit, including Layer 3 and Layer 2 Gigabit switches from D-Link’s xStack range will be deployed in cinemas to provide a reliable and secure support for the use of DCI-compliant digital video.
