MTI adds Microsoft rights in Ukraine

Distributor MTI has struck a channel agreement with Microsoft in the Ukraine. The distribution deal will give MTI channel rights to push Microsoft Windows OEM client and server operating systems. The agreement marks MTI’s move into the software distribution market. MTI is hoping that it is also the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial cooperation with Microsoft.

Sergey Yakovlev, commercial director of IT distribution at MTI, said: “Signing the distribution contract with Microsoft is a new milestone in our business and means that we are entering a new product segment. There is a lot of interesting work ahead for us in the promotion of licence software in the channel. We hope that the partners of MTI will be pleased with this new direction in our distribution business.”

Irina Volk, consumer and channel group director at Microsoft Ukraine, said: “One of the key components of success is the expertise and reliability of our distributors, especially now, when we are updating all major Microsoft products in the Ukrainian market. We are sure that the cooperation between Microsoft and MTI, one of the largest IT distributors in Ukraine, will be long-lasting, fruitful and beneficial.”
