ExaGrid Systems lauds channel expansion

Disk-based back up solutions provider ExaGrid posted record sales for the second quarter of 2008, driven in part by the addition of more than 25 partners around the world including in the UK, Germany, Benelux, Nordics and South Africa. ExaGrid’s sales were up 41% sequentially and almost tripled year-on-year.

ExaGrid operates a worldwide VAR partner programme and also has joint sales and marketing initiatives in place with dozens of resellers throughout EMEA and North America.

"With the highest performance and most scalable product at the best price, ExaGrid continues to be a fast-growing leader in the global market for disk-based backup solutions with data de-duplication," said Bill Andrews, president and CEO at ExaGrid Systems. "Our worldwide sales to a diverse set of mid-sized enterprise companies increased substantially in Q2 2008."

ExaGrid also has some valuable vendor alliances in place and continued its joint sales and marketing campaigns with several major vendors including Dell, Symantec and CommVault during the second quarter.

ExaGrid also announced what it claims was the industry’s first 30TB disk-based back up system with data de-duplication and scalable grid architecture. This product enhancement allows customers to store a 30TB full backup, plus weeks or months of retention, in a single high-performance grid system, according to the vendor.
