Lintell named channel director at Kaspersky
by Stuart Wilson, Monday 13 August 2012
Security solutions vendor Kaspersky has announced the appointment of Andrew Lintell as channel director for Europe. Lintell, formerly corporate sales director UK and Eire at Kaspersky, will lead the newly formed European channel department. He will be responsible for creating and leading the European partner programme and driving it across the region in close cooperation with country managing directors, sales and channel leaders.
Lintell commented: “I am looking forward to the challenge of creating and implementing a channel programme for the whole of Europe. This will ensure greater consistency in the way the company deals with partners and make it easier for them to work with Kaspersky Lab as a business.”
“Growth is very important to Kaspersky Lab and we understand its importance to our channel as well. We want our partners to see Kaspersky as the right choice for their business. This is why we are working hard on a new product set and why we have invested so much in the channel by creating this new department,” he added.
Alongside the development of marketing materials and partner incentive programmes for both business and consumer channels, the European Channel Department will also be responsible for creating specific programmes for a new product set from Kaspersky Lab. The new products, due out in the next six to twelve months, will require a different approach to selling and Kaspersky Lab will be ready to support partners in how to do this.
Lintell will report into Garry Kondakov, European regional VP. Kaspersky Lab plans to announce a new corporate sales director for UK and Eire to take on Lintell’s former role.
