Middle East VAD outfit Optimus recently held a training and update event for security solution provider Bitdefender’s partners in the region. The channel readiness programme included presentations, demonstrations and training. The event was also an opportunity for Optimus to add new resellers to Bitdefender’s channel customer base in the region.
“Bitdefender’s products, including their new virtual and cloud products, are unique and are ranked amongst the leading security solutions globally. We wanted to ensure that our channel partners fully understood the features and benefits of these solutions, which would help them sell better,” said Nehul Goradia, VP channel and alliances at Optimus.
“As a focused channel development and VAD partner for Bitdefender, we are continuously enhancing their reach by creating enabled enterprise partners through our channel enablement arm, Optimus Academy. By holding the first channel readiness programme, we managed to train and get our partners ready to sell and implement Bitdefender’s products and solutions. This programme also helped us onboard more partners and expand the company’s channel reach in the region,” Goradia added.
Optimus distributes Bitdefender’s range of end point, gateway and servers security products across the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The distributor has also been creating and establishing the security vendor’s value channel network by conducting channel development activities such as training and consultancy.
Khalid Muasher, business development manager Middle East at Bitdefender, said: “By being present at our training, the partners benefited from an exclusive description of Bitdefender`s business solutions. Not only did they receive added value through information about our products, but they are also going to be able to sell better, increase their revenue, and be able to pass on the knowledge.”
