Kemp makes Brazil move

Kemp Technologies, a provider of hardware and software-based server and website load balancing solutions, is looking to build up its presence in the Brazilian market. Operating initially through a few value-added partners, Kemp is now structuring its channel programme and developing its marketing and sales expansion plan for Brazil.

Kat Silberstein, Kemp business development director for Latin America, said: "[Kemp] grew more than 130% in 2011, and almost 240% in Europe. We are optimistic in relation to Brazil’s potential in 2012."
At the start of this year Kemp received a capital injection of US$16 million from an investor group including Edison Ventures, Kennet Partners and Orix. These funds will drive the company’s technical and commercial development in European and Latin American markets.
Kempis already searching for new partners and a strong distributor in Brazil to increase its sales reach.
"We are looking for partners with a VAR profile - resellers that offer added services to the solutions. This also includes integrators, server vendors, datacentre providers, network integrators and web service providers,” explained Silberstein.
In Latin America, Kemp has subsidiaries in Ecuador, Guatemala and now Brazil.
