African distributor Phoenix Software has been named Kaspersky Lab’s emerging markets retail distribution partner of the year – the second year in a row that Phoenix has picked up the award. Phoenix picked up the accolade at security solutions vendor Kaspersky’s recent emerging markets partner conference held in Sicily, Italy. The award saw Phoenix up against distributors from the Middle East, Latin America, rest of Africa and Russia – all part of Kaspersky’s emerging markets territory.
“We are very honoured to receive this award. The partner conference is a significant event for all the Kaspersky Lab channel partners, and we are pleased that our efforts on Kaspersky’s behalf are bearing fruit. Our long-term partnership with Kaspersky Lab shows our level of commitment to its products, and the award is a clear indication of our success with the brand,” said Simon Campbell-Young, CEO of Phoenix Software.
Vasily Dyagilev, managing director for emerging markets at Kaspersky Lab, added: “Kaspersky Lab was recently recognised as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies from 24 EMEA countries, by Deloitte Technology’s Fast 500 EMEA.”
“Over the last five years, Kaspersky Lab has enjoyed very rapid expansion, and therefore it is important to partner with companies that understand our customer obligations and the impact of our products in the local market. Phoenix Software’s commitment in the retail sector is evidence of this approach, and therefore this award recognised their achievements to supporting our brand in South Africa,” he added.
