VIP adds Seagate rights in UK

VIP Computers has been appointed as an authorised UK distributor for storage products vendor Seagate. Duncan McAuley, purchasing director of VIP Computers, said: “We are delighted to be launching with Seagate. This is a massive vendor acquisition for VIP and one that we have been working towards for four years.”

“A direct relationship on hard drives has been the missing element for VIP and will strengthen our offering considerably,” McAuley continued. VIP hopes to drive incremental growth in the UK channel by focusing on reaching new customers as well as promoting the benefits of buying Seagate.

Under the terms of the deal, VIP will now have a wider range of products, increased stock holding, and all purchases made through VIP will qualify for customer incentives through any future Seagate partner programmes.
