Synaxon UK adds Intec

by Stuart Wilson, Friday 10 June 2011

Dealer group Synaxon UK has added Intec Microsystems to its supplier network. The agreement means that resellers using Synaxon can now access discounted stock from hardware vendors such as HP, Cisco, Lenovo and APC available from Intec.

For Birmingham-based distributor Intec the deal provides increased visibility with the Synaxon UK’s 700-plus member network and the ability to offer special promotions through the group’s marketing machine. Intec is putting in place a dedicated account manager for Synaxon members and also offering free-of-charge shipments for Synaxon Premier Partners.

Chris Butterworth, head of purchasing at Synaxon, said: “Intec Microsystems is an exciting and dynamic business that delivers exceptional choice and value to its customers and can thus enable them to take opportunities that they otherwise might not be able to address. They add a valuable new dimension to our line-up of supplier partners and makes becoming a member of Synaxon even more worthwhile.”

Andy Shurmer, sales director at Intec Microsystems, added: “This partnership between Intec and Synaxon UK will bring numerous benefits, for both our organisations and more importantly for our mutual reseller customers. It also enables us to show Synaxon’s growing UK member community the range of solutions and the value that we can deliver through the unique blend of products and services we offer.”

With immediate effect, the full range of products offered by Intec will be available through EGIS, Synaxon UK’s online stock- and availability-checking and order management system. EGIS is fully integrated with the back-end systems of distribution partners and enables individual businesses to see and take advantage of any of their own special terms and pricing that they may have negotiated with the supplier.

Last year Intec increased sales by 35% to £27m (US$44m) and it expects to achieve sales in excess of £32m (US$52.1m) in 2011. The company also offers to arrange design and installation by qualified engineers, who can carry out everything from system health checks to site audits, roll-outs and upgrades to cabling and phone systems.
