Modus Brands confirmed for DISTREE EMEA 2019

Fast-growing UK-based distributor Modus Brands has confirmed its participation as a hosted buyer at DISTREE Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) 2019, which takes place in Monaco from February 19-22nd. The unique event offers consumer technology, consumer electronics (CE) and IT brands the chance to hold three days of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with senior executives from distributors, retailers and e-tailers from 50-plus countries in one place at one time.

David Feakins, director at Modus Brands, said: “Modus Brands is a leading distributor in the UK. We stand out from the others by offering a superior service for technology products, supporting our retailers with training, support, technical repairs and new and emerging technology products.”

Modus Brands has seen strong growth over the last three years and a healthy increase in sales in the categories the distributor covers. The company’s vendor portfolio includes DJI, Incase, Insta360, Omnicharge, PolarPro and Ledger.

“We have a strong presence in the photographic channel, however we also serve the wider CE channel with some of our brands. We’d like to meet with new or established vendors [at DISTREE EMEA] who have a product suitable for the CE or photographic channel within the UK & Europe,” Feakins added.

“Our expansion plans for 2019 involve working some ’select’ brands that we can develop and grow with. Because of the speed of our growth, we’ve had to limit the amount of new brands we take on board. We are a distributor who works with a limited amount of premium brands to maximise their sales potential,” he explained.

Modus Brands is targeting 40% sales growth in the year ahead and has a track record of helping the brands it represents rapidly increase revenues, with some brands represented by Modus seeing sales triple. Modus expects the European distribution landscape to continue evolving.

“We’ll see a lot more focus on distributors who provide a service that increase brands sales and doesn’t simply put products in the market,” explained Feakins. “We’re a growing, honest and reliable company that plans to work with vendors who want to grow with us.”

Modus Brands also believes that the impact of influencers and social media in determining a brand’s success will continue to rise. Feakins concluded: “The amount of influence the social channels such as Instagram now have is staggering.”
