DISTREE Events has launched a new Structured Wishlist system for its flagship hosted buyer tech and consumer electronics (CE) channel event.

Confirmed exhibitors participating at DISTREE Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) 2019, which takes place on February 19th to 22nd in Monaco, will have access to the new system, which allows them to nominate specific channel partners they wish to hold one-on-one meetings with at the event.

Stuart Wilson, Event Director at DISTREE Events, said: “Confirmed exhibitors for DISTREE EMEA 2019 will have access to a simple online Structured Wishlist system. This allows them to input the details of individuals and companies quickly and easily. These will then be immediately assessed to see if they are eligible for a hosted buyer invite to DISTREE EMEA 2019.”

DISTREE EMEA is a premium hosted buyer invite that gives tech and consumer electronics (CE) brands from around the world a unique opportunity to hold pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with senior executives from the region’s most influential channel partners in one place at one time.

The DISTREE EMEA channel audience breakdown is evolving to better reflect new collaborative go-to-market ecosystems that are driving consumer tech sales within the region. This includes a greater focus on inviting retailers, e-tailers, marketplaces and service providers from across core European markets to attend, recognising both their importance to tech brands and their role within today’s complex and intertwined channel models.

Next year’s flagship event will also see the introduction of a new Global Buyer Programme (GBP) at DISTREE EMEA. This will allow a limited number of VIP distributors and retailers from APAC and the Americas to secure a hosted buyer spot at DISTREE EMEA for the first time. The Global Buyer Programme can be utilised in conjunction with the new Structured Wishlist module, allowing exhibitors to also nominate channel executives from outside EMEA to receive a hosted buyer invite.

Verla-Friess added: “We want to ensure exhibitors maximise the number of meetings they have with channel partners that matter most to them at DISTREE EMEA 2019. This could be existing distributors, or it could be a senior executive from a potential partner they are keen to meet. The new Structured Wishlist module gives them a greater say in the audience selection process.”

As a premium hosted buyer event, audience quality is integral to the continued success of DISTREE EMEA. Taking place for the 17th successive year in 2019, channel executives selected to receive a hosted buyer invite must work for a distributor, retailer, e-tailer or marketplace, sourcing and selling technology products to other channel partners or to consumers. In addition, hosted buyers must have responsibility for vendor relationships within the organisation and the authority and ability to meet new brands and discuss potential business relationships.

Verla-Friess added: “DISTREE EMEA is specifically designed to allow exhibitors to manage, build or launch routes-to-market across EMEA and beyond in the most efficient way possible. The one-on-one meetings that take place at the event are pre-scheduled ensuring that all delegates get the maximum possible business benefits and ROI from their participation.”

DISTREE Events will evaluate all wishlist submissions received by November 19th 2018 (three months prior to the event) and issue hosted buyer invites to eligible individuals that meet the qualification criteria. The number of wishlist submissions an exhibitor can request is linked to the exhibitor package they have selected for DISTREE EMEA 2019.
