DISTREE Russia, the country’s leading annual tech channel hosted buyer event, has revealed a packed programme of workshops and boardroom sessions as part of this year’s 15th anniversary event, which takes place in Moscow on May 30th to June 1st, 2018.

The sessions are designed to bring vendor and channel executives up to speed on some of the latest trends and market developments influencing technology channels in Russia. Content providers at this year’s event include CONTEXT, DNS, GfK, Intel, MODECOM, TOTOLINK and Yandex.Market.

Marina Nikitina, Special Adviser for DISTREE Russia, said: “This year’s workshop and boardroom programme covers a variety of subjects spanning both B2B and B2C channel topics. With more than 400 channel and vendor delegates already confirmed for DISTREE Russia 2018, we have seen a record number of registrations to attend these sessions. Channel content

• CONTEXT: Channel opportunities in Gaming & VR. Leveraging Russia’s status as world’s 11th biggest gaming market. The global gaming market represents an estimated US$120bn opportunity and continues to grow year on year. With the help of its partner panel, CONTEXT tracks and analyses the PC gaming market, and in this session will present the latest figures, establish the market drivers and give an insight into consumer expectations. • DNS: Threats & Opportunities for Different Market Segments. This session led by retailer DNS will explore threats and opportunities for different IT market segments. An open discussion for representatives from Russian technology channels. This session will be moderated by Dmitry Alexeev, President of DNS Group.

• GfK Briefing & Breakfast (INVITE ONLY): Digital Markets Trends 2018 – Growth from Changes. GfK will present and illustrate the Top Trends for Russian and regional IT and digital goods Markets in 2017 and share GfK expectations for coming years. Challenges as well as opportunities for all Russian HighTech markets will be summarised for vendors, distributors, resellers and retailers. This session is dedicated to executives providing them with knowledge for managing their daily business and identifying business opportunities. Presented by Andrey Seregin, Senior Consultant, GfK Russia

• GfK: Retail Trends & Market Overview 2017. Post-crisis growth, introduction of new digital goods like VR or wearables, growing online and mobile payment continue to disrupt what consumers buy, where they purchase and the way the sale is completed. GfK will provide an overview of the current state of the digital retail market in Russia and will examine the development of key trends, where they stand today and which of them offer long-term revenue potential. Presented by Sergey Zadorozhniy, IT Sector Manager, GfK.

• GfK: Russian B2B Market Transformation. The Russian IT B2B market remains a dynamic, complex and demanding sector for HighTech companies. B2B market players must deal with simultaneous and sometimes contradictory market transformations, due to digitalisation and centralisation, cloud technologies and localisation, virtualisation of IT infrastructure and tightened security. GfK will examine the development of tech and business trends of Russian B2B market and analyse what will dominate the B2B landscape in 2018. Presented by Andrey Seregin, Senior Consultant, GfK.

• Intel: Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Practice - Examples in Enterprise Business. Presented by Mikhail Tsvetkov, head of Intel technical group in Russia. The session will include an AI market overview and examples of AI projects implemented on Intel platforms. This session will cover the conceptual approach of Intel to solving the problems of deep learning and practical application of the results.

• Intel: Optane Memory - Driving PC Sales Growth. Presented by Vladislav Nikonov, Retail Marketing Specialist, Intel. This session will cover optane memory and the possibility of sales growth in the segment of low-cost PCs.

• MODECOM: How we Listen to your Needs. Join MODECOM to learn more about this leading manufacturer and distributor of computer components on the European market. • Yandex.Market: How Shops & Agencies can Work with Marketplaces. Hosted by Maria Bayrakova, Product Manager at Yandex.Market. Maria has more than 15 years of experience in the field of e-commerce. She deals with B2B integration issues and work with external systems: CMS, CRM, ERP. Maria will cover launches of new products in the marketplace for shops and agencies. Maria is an expert in building data exchange systems.
