CACTUS is a fast-growing brand that aims to set new standards for market-compatible printing consumables and accessories. CACTUS is participating at DISTREE Russia 2017, giving the company the opportunity to meet buyers and senior executives from the country’s top distributors, resellers and retailers.

Roman Samoylov CEO at CACTUS, said: “We first participated in DISTREE Russia back in 2015 and the experience has been highly successful. The business forum format is a great opportunity for us to hold a series of meetings with current and potential partners in a short space of time. CACTUS will present new products at DISTREE Russia 2017 and talk about new business opportunities with partners.”

The unique DISTREE event format allows exhibitors such as CACTUS to research and pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with channel delegates at the event. This allows all exhibitors to build agendas tailored to their precise business needs, delivering a clear return on investment (ROI).

CACTUS will showcase its wide portfolio of products at DISTREE Russia, including compatible consumables for all types of printing devices; photo paper; wide-format paper media for plotters and engineering machines; cleaning tools for office and professional use; materials for photo wallpaper printing, plus accessories and gadgets.

Samoylov added: “We will also introduce some of the new business directions for us including projection equipment such as screens and brackets for projectors; 3D printing and consumables, plus mobile electric transport for city environments.”

Stable market

CACTUS believes that the Russian IT market stabilized in 2016 after two difficult years. This has enabled the company to evaluate new business areas and start planning ahead for future development.

Samoylov explained: “In general, the past year was a successful one for the CACTUS brand in Russia. We continued our development and successfully implemented the plans that we set for ourselves, but we are not going to be complacent.”

“Economic sanctions and the ruble fall have forced partners and customers to take a more careful approach to product selection - to look for a fair trade-off between price and quality,” he added. “Brands that have a clear and stable client policy and which can also guarantee a margin to all the sales chain participants have become the most sought after.”

CACTUS sees growth opportunities in business-to-business and business-to-government channels in 2017, as well as through federal retail in the Russian Federation. The company will also look to expand sales to other countries within the Eurasian Customs Union. CACTUS believes it has a compelling channel proposition that appeals to a wide variety of partners.

“CACTUS is one of the leading brands of compatible consumables in Russia,” said Samoylov. “We offer our partners a range of advantages when working with us including the widest range of products at competitive prices; commercially correct and attractive packaging; stock availability; advertising and marketing support, plus control of the pricing in each sales channel and guaranteed margin for all business participants.”

CACTUS ensure that its products do not violate OEM intellectual rights and guarantees an absence of claims against partners that do business with the brand.

Guaranteed margin

“The CACTUS distribution system in Russia has a three-tier structure. We believe that this structure is optimal for us. Our primary objective, as a vendor, is to provide a guaranteed margin level and attractiveness of business for our partners at each stage,” explained Samoylov.

“We have a partner authorisation programme that is assessed on a year-end basis. Based on year-end financial indicators, partners are granted a status for the following year. According to the status assigned, different marketing privileges are available to the partner from the promotional product to the individual marketing fund,” he added.

“Distributors have a fixed rate of marketing funds based on their turnover. The marketing fund enables our distributors and partners to represent and promote our products in different sales channels effectively,” continued Samoylov.

CACTUS established its business in Russia in 2010 and has become one of the leading brands in compatible consumables for printing in the country. The company believes it can become the number one player in compatible consumables within two years.

Samoylov concluded: “We respect and appreciate the confidence of our partners. We listen and hear their requests and desires, and we never forget that a successful business can only be built on mutually beneficial partnership and cooperation. This makes us optimistic about the future. See you at DISTREE Russia 2017.”
